Characteristics of Pneumatic Muffler

Pneumatic Muffler is generally a muffling element that is installed when the gas used in the pneumatic system is returned to the exhaust port of the pneumatic control valve. The muffling effect is related to the size and quantity of the exhaust gas, the speed of the flow, and the size of the leakage gap of the muffler. It usually reduces the instantaneous noise during exhaust by about 20 to 35 decibels.
Pneumatic Muffler achieves the purpose of noise reduction at the expense of normal exhaust flow. The greater the damping of the sound absorbing material (the smaller the leakage), the greater the effect on the exhaust of the pneumatic system, but the better the noise reduction effect; otherwise, the smaller the damping of the sound absorbing material (the bigger the leakage), the worse the anechoic effect. Some pneumatic cylinders are large, high pressure, long stroke, large exhaust volume and fast, the silencing effect will not be very good (or reduce 15-20 db); Otherwise, some pneumatic cylinders have low pressure, short stroke, small exhaust volume, the silencing effect will be very good (or reduce about 35 db). The purpose and function are also related to the noise of actual exhaust gas.
