A set of permanent magnetic rings with high magnetism is installed on the piston, and the magnetic force line acts on another set of magnetic rings in the outer slider through the thin-walled cylinder. Because the two sets of magnetic rings have opposite magnetism, they have strong mutual attraction. When the piston is driven by air pressure in the cylinder, the piston moves, and at the same time, the magnetic ring in the outer slider is affected by the magnetic line of the magnetic ring on the piston, and moves synchronously. The thrust of the CY1S Air Cylinder piston must be compatible with the suction of the inner and outer magnetic rings. When the pressure is too high or the load is too heavy, the piston thrust is too high, and the attraction between the magnetic rings can not be maintained, the inner and outer magnetic rings will disengage, and the cylinder will work abnormally. The terminology is called off-target.
1. The Magnetic Coupling Rodless Cylinder has the following characteristics compared with the standard cylinder:
The overall installation size is small, the axial space is small, compared with standard cylinders, it saves about 44% of axial space.
The piston at both ends of thrust and tension of the CY1S Air Cylinder have the same area, so the thrust and tension values are equal, easy to realize the intermediate positioning. When the piston speed is 250mm/s, the positioning accuracy can reach ±1.0mm.
The piston rod surface of the standard cylinder is easy to accumulate dust and rust, rod sealing ring may inhale dust impurities resulting in leakage, and the outer slider of Magnetic Coupling Rodless Cylinder has no dynamic seals and no external leakage.
The CY1S Air Cylinder with ultra-long stroke can be produced. The ratio of inner diameter to stroke of standard cylinder is generally no more than 1/15. The ratio of inner diameter to stroke of rodless cylinder can reach about 1/100. The longest stroke can reach 3m to meet the needs of long stroke applications.
2. Magnetic Coupling Rodless Cylinder is compared with mechanical rodless cylinder:
The magnetic coupling type is small in shape, with screws and nuts installed on both ends, and can be directly installed on the equipment.
The CY1S Linear Guides Actuator has small load, suitable for loading small workpieces or manipulators.
When the basic type of magnetic coupling type moves back and forth, the slider may rotate, the rod guiding device must be added, or select CY1S Linear Guides Actuator with guide rod.
Comparing with the defect of partial leakage of mechanical guide belt, the magnetic couple type has no external leakage and can be maintenance-free after installation and use.
The coupling speed of magnetic coupling is slower (speed ≤ 700mm/s).
