Selection and Maintenance of Cylinder

There are many kinds of cylinders, how to choose the type to meet their own supporting design requirements has become the most difficult problem for many customers. The following three elements are selected for pneumatic light cylinder, bearing in mind the three points, the general selection will not be much worse.

1. Selection of Types
According to the working requirements and conditions, the type of air cylinder actuator should be selected correctly. The cushion cylinder should be chosen for the cylinder to reach the end of stroke without impact phenomenon and impact noise; the light cylinder should be chosen for the light weight; the thin cylinder should be selected for the short stroke and the narrow installation space; the cylinder with guide rod can be selected for the transverse load; the locking cylinder should be selected for the high braking accuracy; the cylinder with rod non-rotation function should be selected for the piston rod not to rotate; and the cylinder with rod non-rotation function should be selected for the high temperature environment. Use heat-resistant cylinder; in corrosive environment, it is necessary to choose corrosion-resistant cylinder. In the harsh environment such as dust, it is necessary to install a dust cover at the extended end of the piston rod. When no pollution is required, oil-free or oil-free lubrication cylinders should be selected.

2. The magnitude of action force
That is the choice of cylinder diameter. The output thrust and pull force of the air cylinder actuator are determined according to the magnitude of the load force. Generally, according to the theory of external load, the cylinder force required for balancing conditions is selected according to different speeds, so that the output force of the China air cylinder actuator has a little margin. The cylinder diameter is too small, the output force is not enough, but the cylinder diameter is too large, which makes the equipment heavy, increases the cost, increases the gas consumption and wastes energy. In fixture design, force expanding mechanism should be used as far as possible to reduce the cylinder size.

3. Installation Form
According to the installation location, use purpose and other factors. In general, the fixed cylinder is used. When it is necessary to rotate continuously with the working mechanism (such as lathe, grinder, etc.), the rotary cylinder should be selected. When the piston rod is required to swing in arc besides linear motion, the pin cylinder is selected. When there are special requirements, the corresponding special China air cylinder actuator should be selected.

The basic components and working principle of the air cylinder actuator : Take the single piston rod double acting cylinder which is most commonly used in the pneumatic system as an example to illustrate the typical structure of the cylinder as shown in the following figure. It consists of cylinder barrel, piston, piston rod, front end cover, back end cover and sealing parts. The inside of the double acting cylinder is divided into two chambers by the piston. The cavity with piston rod is called rod cavity, and the cavity without piston rod is called rod cavity. When compressed air is input from the rodless chamber, the rod chamber exhausts, and the pressure difference between the two chambers of the cylinder acts on the piston to overcome the resistance load and push the piston to move, so that the piston rod extends; when the rod chamber is intake and the rod chamber is exhausted, the piston rod retracts. If the rod cavity and the rod cavity alternate intake and exhaust, the piston realizes reciprocating linear motion. The working principle of China air cylinder actuator: Pressure air makes the piston move, by changing the direction of intake, change the direction of piston rod movement.

Equipment lies in maintenance, not maintenance, good maintenance in peacetime, there will be no maintenance.

1. Take care of your own equipment, maintain and wipe it regularly and keep it clean.
2. Do not use equipment under overload, and do not use equipment in violation of regulations;
3. Troubles should be removed patiently, and brute force and violence should not be used.
4. Fine parts should be carefully maintained, and blunt or sharp objects should not be used to hit the jacking equipment.
5. Complete preparation of vulnerable parts, fast updating of drawings, can greatly shorten the maintenance time;
6. Observe the operation status of equipment more often in peacetime to prevent the occurrence of equipment failure.
